Effective Project Management is about keeping the crew focused, managing expectations, keeping an eye on risks, planning for future challenges and motivating the team. Spending hours collecting facts, creating metrics and designing pretty spreadsheets with pivot tables is something that should be a one-click event so your Project Managers can focus on what's really important.

Status Reporting
What is it: Enable team leads to enter their weekly status updates into CCP and print a consolidated project wide Status Report. Includes work completed and planned, risks, issues, resources and much more. Why do I need it: Allows the Project Manager to efficiently use their time while keeping team leads accountable for accurate progress reporting. |

Alerts
What is it: Users can create conditions so that when events in the CCP happen (e.g.: Issues assigned to them) they receive an e-mail or text message. Alerts can be instant or batched up and released on a schedule. Why do I need it: Users will get notifiefd what is happening real-time with either an e-mail or a text message. |

Reporting with Excel
What is it: Ascendive uses enhanced grid controls so it is easy to manipulate data. However, sometimes you may want to export data into Excel for enhanced data manipulation. Ascendive supports bi-directional data synchronizing between Excel and CCP. Why do I need it: As users update content in CCP your Excel spreadsheet gets automatically updated, with full version control maintained in CCP for audit purposes. |

Point In Time Reporting
What is it: Define the Project metrics you want to monitor over time and do period over period reporting. For example, get the % complete of Test Scripts daily and the % complete of Business Process Approvals weekly. CCP will then, on a scheduled basis, take a point in time snap shot of all those metrics and make them available for reporting in future periods. Why do I need it: Allows for a graphical representation of work completed for every reporting period that you define. This can be used for burn-down charts for development, earned value for project finances and literally hundreds of other report metrics. |

Notifications
What is it: Notifications are e-mails automatically generated by Workflows letting users know of updates or actions required. The content of these notifications can be customized to meet your intended communication objectives. Why do I need it: Provides instant e-mails when relevant content is created or updated and a user needs to know. |
